Excited about this one. Back on canvas. A lot of scrapping with palette knife. I am getting quite a bit of flattening while maintaining illusion. The painting looks better in life than in this photo. I used a crayon underneath (and a bit on top) - Caran d'Ache Neocolor, they are awesome.

I am really loving this one as well. Great range of value, colors that work well together warm and cool, and GREAT little nuances of light and shadow that make it interesting. The shadow works well to offset the symmetry, breaking up the negative space. Great piece, Ben. I would love to see this in person to see the surface.
